Electricity Meter Overview
All the meters detailed here are generally available from stock. Direct Connect meters require the phase(s) and neutral cables to be physically connected through the meter, the same as a domestic meter in a house. CT meters provide the facility to read the load via a coil which is clamped around the phase(s) and reads the load from the emf emited by the cable. These often means that power does not need to be switched off to fit the meter. A Voltage reference is required for this type of meter
